1996 Africa Raid 9th place. Andy has competed in over 70 marathons and ultra-marathons and has been on several extensive climbing expeditions including Kilimanjaro in 1998. He is also the founder and director of Spirit of Adventure, an outdoor school educating over 28,000 students to date. Andy served for seven years in the Rhodesian Army as a paratrooper, was a Captain and was twice decorated including the Silver Cross of Rhodesia. He was also a Major in the Middle East where he commanded an amphibious squadron of the Sultan of Oman's Special Forces. In 1998, Andy led an expedition across the empty quarter of the Arabian Desert and in 1997 he led an eight-day Trans-Kariba canoe expedition.

Ian has participated in seven Durban Ultra Triathlons, seven Comrades marathons, two Sani Pass Challenges, five Loteni Mountain Bike Challenge, the 1997 Camel Trophy selections and numerous canoe marathons. He has organized and participated in many mountain bike races and was in the first group of cyclists to ride to the top of Thabana Ntlenyana (the Highest Peak in South Africa). He also scuba dives, has played Rugby and was the team leader for the Bushman's Adventure. Ian has his own farm where he produces market gardening and dairy herd in addition to his full-time job as an electrician.

Steven has competed in 11 Duzi Canoe Marathons, nine Midmar Mile swims, seven Comrades Marathons, six Two Oceans Marathons, five Argus Cycle Tours and several other international marathons and bike rides. He has also received five Naval Seals Ironman awards. He enjoys parachuting, paragliding, motorbikes, sailing and is an active scuba diver. In 1997, Steven flew a motorized paraglider from Kilimanjaro to Victoria Falls. He has also parachuted in Burma, Estonia and Israel.
