Hello Mountain Zone, this is Luis Benitez with Scott Darsney up here on Mt. McKinley. Well, we had a great day today up at 14,000 foot camp. We went back down to 13.5 and grabbed the rest of our gear, (and) brought it back up here to camp.

It's been a sunny and off and on breezy day. We were just kind of hanging out today — eating and hydrating — getting ready for our carry up to 16.2 tomorrow at the top of the fixed line. We plan on dropping off some gear up there tomorrow and then just coming on back down and continuing to rest and acclimatize and hoping in two days to be moving up to the 17,000 foot camp and beginning to look at a possible summit attempt.

Everyone here is doing well. The past couple days have been kind of difficult given the weather and low temperatures. We've been dealing with snow and zero visibility and cold weather. We got stuck at 11,000 feet for a few days...so this being the reasoning behind us coming up a little bit later than expected, but only just a day or so late.

That's about it from here from 14,000 feet. This is Luis wishing everyone a pleasant evening.
