Hello, this is Jake Malinz, Base Camp manager of the of the Spanish Royal Expedition talking on behalf of Ed Viesturs, Veikka Gustafsson, Neal Beidleman and Michael Kennedy, the American expedition here at Annapurna at Nepal.

Today, April 12th, about 9am Nepal time, the expeditioneers left to Camp I where they will overnight. The camp is located at an altitude of about 16,500 feet or 5000 meters. They have set up more fixed rope on the route between Base Camp and Camp I to make the way more secure. Today they will stay at Camp I and tomorrow, if the weather is stable, they will proceed on to Camp I [II].

Today they had a very good evening and a very good climb, with sun until 4pm Nepal time, when it started to snow very slightly. The expeditioneers — Ed Viesturs, Veikka Gustafsson, Neal Beidleman and Michael Kennedy — they are fine, and well, this is all about. This is Jake Malinz, Base Camp manager of the Spanish Royal Expedition. Thank you very much, bye-bye.
