Hello, this is Jake Malinz, base camp manager for the Spanish Royal Expedition, speaking also on behalf of the members of the American Expedition led by Ed Viesturs with Veikka Gustafsson, Neal Beidleman and Michael Kennedy.

Thank you very much for all your good wishes for all the expeditions here at Annapurna. It's a pleasure talking again and informing to the audience of MountainZone.com.

Today, April 20th, at 11:30 Nepal time I received a phone call, a walkie-talkie conversation, with Camp I. This morning, Ed Viesturs and three other members of the expedition, they tried to go up to the East Ridge of Annapurna to explore a new possible route; due to the bad weather they had to return to Camp I and they postponed the activity for tomorrow.

Concerning the Spanish Expedition, three members reached Camp II on the normal route, but also due to bad weather the only thing they could do was leave two tents and other deposit of material, waiting for tomorrow, when three other members will try to reach Camp II at an altitude of 6100 meters and try to sleep to acclimatize.

Also, the French Military Expedition is here at Annapurna Base Camp. This morning at 7:30 hours they left and they made an acclimatization, arriving to Camp I, but eight members and the three Sherpas, they returned to the Base Camp to sleep. And tomorrow a team of four members of the French Military Expedition will go up to Camp I to sleep and probably they'll join forces with the other two expeditions already up there in Camp I.

This is Jake Malinz, informing from Annapurna Base Camp Nepal to MountainZone.com. Good night, buenas noches, adíos.
