Since Brady and I returned to Islamabad, I have been stuffing my face with ice cream: chocolate, chocolate chip, pistachio, chocolate mocha, etc. I would guess that we ate a lamb, half a cow, and several chickens worth of Afghani kabobs too. We ate four full meals yesterday — not counting ice cream meals. Gluttony is a common a post expedition symptom.

Besides feeling totally bloated from our gorging, Brady and I were able to enjoy a few moments of contentment. We reminisced about the trip and both agreed that as far as adventures go, this has been a good one.

We're all safe, made a lot of new friends, got to shoot machine guns, and managed to scrape our way up something. The moment lasts through a bowl of ice cream and before long we are talking about future adventures. Inshallah...

I want to thank Patagonia, Polertec, NOLS, the American Alpine Club, Nazir Sabir Expeditions, and, last but not least, MountainZone.com for making this adventure possible. Kudos to the MountainZone.com staff for all their help and support. Many good thoughts and thanks to Mom, Grace, and the Bay Area Fan Club.

Peace. Until next time... Let the beauty you love, be what you do.
