Hello, Mountain Zone, it's Wally Berg. I'm calling you, it's still Sunday, January 9th. Only, this time we are at 81º south. The [Unintelligible] down to Patriot Hills was successful, took a little less than six hours. Bob Elias and I are standing here sorting through gear right now. We're on the ice. The Omega Embree Glacier Expedition has finally gotten to Antarctica, and we're under way.

Beautiful weather down here at Patriot Hills this time, about as calm and balmy as I've ever seen it. It is cloudy, but they were high clouds and they didn't effect our landing, so we got down beautifully in the Herc and we're happy to be here. The Shark, who I may have mentioned in my dispatches last time, Bob, Hank and Les, and their guide, my old buddy Rodrego, are already off to Vinson Base. [Unintelligible] who was also one of the Alpine Ascents clients who was in that wait last year is also with them. The Vinson client climbers are on their way.

Bob and I are going to [Unintelligible] at Partiot Hills, sort through a little bit of gear, get some rest and I'll talk to you tomorrow. If things go as planned, we'll be off to the Embree Glacier with a First Air Twin Otter pilot. Art...[transmission fails].
