Hey Mountain Zone, it's Wally Berg calling you from Mweka — the top of the forest.

We've got our gaiters back on and we'll be descending through the forest today and, of course, onto Arusha to prepare for the safari. I last talked to you from the summit and I've got to go back a little and fill you in on all that happened yesterday a very good day for this...[transmission fails].

Yeah, so, a really good day for all of us. As you know, Jeff started down from Barafu, that was his highest point. Ron Alt and I were discussing his situation in the early hours of yesterday, he had the misfortune of having his stomach bug flare up his summit day. Ron's a mountaineer who's climbed with Alpine Ascents on our North Cascades School in the past and is active in outdoors and on mountains all over the world. It was just not his day on Kili, so 16,400ft was Ron's highpoint.

Very impressive that Helen and Tom, who you know had the glitch with the luggage and were a day behind, having done the whole climb without the acclimatization day, Alpine Ascents always takes at Shira, they joined us there on our rest day. They actually made it to 17,500ft with their Chagga guide Mark. So, Mark and Helen turned around at 17.5. And in the very early morning hours Ron, and John, another Chagga guide...[Unintelligible]...a big accomplishment on the mountain.
