Going for Summit in Sunshine Saturday, December 18, 1999
I'm calling from Vinson Base Camp on behalf of Willi Prittie. Yesterday the weather cleared and we climbed from Camp II to Camp III in beautiful weather after spending four nights in a storm at Camp II. Today, a gorgeous day, we're climbing to the summit of Vinson and can see the [Unintelligible] ice shelf and polar plateau in cloud. Very sunny, light breeze, minus 15 Fahrenheit.
