Everest '98 Photo Gallery

Yaks are used for portering supplies through the Khumbu and are a common sight. These yaks are just below Namche carrying gear for a climbing expedition trekking to Everest. Todd Burleson says it's horrifying to see as many as 30 gear-ladden yaks on a bridge, but it seems to work out.
