Tuesday, April 7, 1998 Thyangboche (12,680')
Burleson to Mingma: Mingma, come here... Mingma, they want to talk to you... say hello! Mingma: Hello, Mountain Zone. Burleson to another Sherpani: And if you could... The other Sherpani: Hello from Thyangboche. Burleson: Tell them all about you... tell them you run the Mountain Zone... tell them you run the best restaurant. [They both laugh at him.] You can tell Sherpani are shy. Mingma is the best looking Sherpani in the Khumbu. Alright, that's it for now. We'll keep the updates coming; hopefully this phone will keep working. Talk to you later, bye.
Todd Burleson, Leader of the Alpine Ascents International Trek
