CLICK TO HEAR THE CALL:
Hello again Mountain Zone, this is Terry O'Connor reporting from Everest Base Camp. I have one bit of good news for you after an early morning start. Athans has summitted Nuptse on a solo bid. Summit time was 11:35am.

Pete Athans Pete describes [inaudible audio] as yet another beautiful day up top, and he's currently on his way down. Last time we spoke to him, Pete had found his way to the fixed lines and should be down into the Cwm within about an hour and a half.

Hillary Step Currently, Charles Corfield is just beyond the Hillary Step, and Chhongba Sherpa and I are anxiously awaiting to hear an announcement of his arrival at the summit. We'll try to give you a call once we get more information. This is Base Camp signing off.

Terry O'Connor
