Watch Where You StepWed, March 31, 1999 Phakding, Nepal
What else is new? Life is good in the Khumbu. Everybody seems to be good. We've got some neighbors next to us building a house. They chopped down this 60 foot tree and it took about 60 of them to run it up to make the beam across the house. There are quite a few trekkers up in the Khumbu right now, but it's real quiet where we are. Sounds like-I just talked to Lhatka, our sirdar, and he said Pete should be up on his way out of Namche in the last day or so, so I'm sure he's probably cybercasting. We're looking forward to catching up with him-seeing how all that goes-sounds like everybody's moving. Ed's out at Manaslu. All is calm in the Himalayas. You guys take care, and we'll talk to you soon. Bye.
Todd Burleson, Trek Leader
