CLICK TO HEAR THE CALL:
Hi Mountain Zone, it's Todd. Everything's great here. We're in Base Camp right now with Pete and the crew. We went up to the Icefall and took a look around. Things look beautiful this year. It's very, very, warm, much warmer than usual. All the trekkers made it except two that decided to stay down in Gorak Shep—feeling the altitude pretty heavily.

It looks like these guys are extremely organized and doing all sorts of things and the movie [*Editors Note: An NBC Crew is filming the Millenium Expedition] looks great. It didn't snow a ton yesterday. It looked like it. It got so warm, I thought it was going to snow quite a bit. It got clear. All of us went up to the top of Kala Pattar where we got good views of Everest and the South Col and part of Lhotse. All of us are leaving Base Camp right now and heading on down. So the trek's been great, and we'll call you from Gorak Shep or Pheriche in the next few days. Talk to you soon.

Todd Burleson, Trek Leader
