Just got a call from climbing Sherpa sirdar Lhakpa Rita at the "Camp V" site used by the Indonesians on their descent bivy just below the Balcony at 27,500'. [Click to see a photo of the Balcony taken in 1994.] Everybody's great, weather's great, full steam ahead.

A little while later, Dawa Sherpa at Camp II heard from Wally Berg and Todd Burleson that everybody's making good progress and feeling strong, but couldn't get their exact location (topography sometimes makes communications REALLY tough.)
