Coming in ninth around 4pm, Team Wilderness Classic is the first American team to cross the finish line of the 1997 Eco-Challenge. The last kayak leg of the course had been extremely difficult, changing positions with the Kiwis Outside team several times. For this team from Alaska, it was their first Eco-Challenge event, and even at the finish, they were talking of the next event in 1998.

Team Members:

  • Roman Dial
  • Nora Torbin
  • Chris Flowers
  • Paul Adkins

Click to hear Team Wilderness Classic at the finish line. (We're the first in to talk to the team!)
