Ranger-led walks, talks, and evening programs are offered throughout the year. During the summer, concessionaire-operated bus tours and horseback rides are also available.

The second Sunday of December is the annual Christmas Tree Ceremony, held at the General Grant Tree in Kings Canyon National Park.
