Athlete Bios: Snowboarding GS

Martin Freinademetz (AUT)
Birthday: December 10, 1969.
Birthplace: Austria
Home Base: Innsbruck, Austria

Nicknamed "The Dominator" by the European press, Martin has been leading the GS circuit for years, winning global titles since 1990. On the World Cup tour, he's been the one to beat. He's got two World Champion titles, two World Tour Champion titles, the '97 US Open Banked Slalom title and more European titles than you can count.

He's even graced the starting gates wearing a gorilla suit and even though his competitors were wearing speed suits, Martin nabbed the win.

Martin's been riding for 12 years and predicts snowboarding will be bigger than skiing. Coming from the most successful alpine rider of the decade, he may just know what he's talking about.
