Ross Powers (USA)
Birthday: February 10,1979
Birthplace: Bennington,Vermont
Home Base: South Londonderry, Vermont
No stranger to the snow stage, Ross may have got the competition bug as early as fourth grade when his school
class came to see him compete at Stratton Mountain, VT.
We don't know how well he faired that day, but either way, we think he's healed; he's been compiling an
impressive
list of wins ever since. He is currently the USSA National Champion.
The '96 Grand Prix Champion, FIS World and Overall Champion, Ross is a member of the US Snowboard Team. It may be
a few years yet, but little bro Powers has started riding and if he's privy to the family secret, maybe they'll
be
yet another Powers to watch in a future Olympics.
