Greetings Mountain Zone, hope you are as well as we are. We're in Huaraz, Peru. We're all feeling really good. This city is at 10,000 feet. It's got just beautiful, beautiful views. It's a very tranquil town. We've got a great place to stay. Today we just kind of cruised around town, and we were all really tired from the trip here. We've been... today, what did we do... we went to this market, which was pretty neat. There were a lot of colorful people, a lot of little kids running around trying to shine your shoes. I got myself a new, sweet hat, which I'm real psyched about.

I think our initial plan was to go up Toqllaraju, and we're starting to think maybe about doing another peak called Ranrapallka. There's two routes on that we're thinking about. Apparently the snow pack is really good, the skiing itself is really good, it's safe and it's good, good skiing. So, there's this north face of Ranrapallka that's a possibility, and there's also this northeast kind of ridge face, which is probably what we'll end up doing.

It's a beautiful sunset at the moment. The group is great, we're having a great time. I don't know, I can't wait to get up into the mountains. It's going to be awesome. These mountains are just, they're huge, they're absolutely huge, and beautiful. From where we're sitting, right here, it's kind of late in the day. It's about six, I think, and you can see just a lot of the faces. The west faces are lighting up, and you can kind of see the flutes. It's just utterly beautiful.

So yeah, we're feeling really good, we're really getting psyched to head up into the mountains and check it out— see how it feels. So, this is Bissell Hazen, and we will talk again soon. Alright, hope all is well with everyone where you are. Bye.
