Hey Mountain Zone, this is Jake Norton calling on the 1st of July from our high camp on Toqllaraju at about 17,000 feet.

Things are going pretty well, we've got a little storm here, right now, a little bit of thunder, quite a bit of snow, but we're psyched to go for the top tomorrow. Everyone's feeling pretty good, a little bit of the standard altitude ailments, a little headachy, and things like that, but for the most part, we're all feeling good.

There were a couple guys, a Spaniard and a French climber, and skiers, who tried to summit the other day, about two days ago, and they didn't quite make it to the summit, but they skied a portion of the route, and so we're hoping to top that a little bit and get actually on to the top, and ski down.

We've seen some good lookin' terrain for these guys to ski and for Wade to photograph, we're pretty excited for it, and, if all goes well we'll be making a dispatch from the 19,000-something foot summit of Toqllaraju tomorrow morning.

We're gonna wake up at about midnight tonight, plan on walking around 1:30 in the morning, and summit around sunrise or there abouts, so…things are going well and we'll look forward to talking to you all from the summit.

This is Cordillera Blanca team out.
