Westbeach Snowboarding Classic
Welcome Back My Friends
LIVE: April 16-17, 1999

Welcome to North America's largest winter sports event. The Classic is back. The Westbeach Classic culminates with Canada's biggest and longest Pro Jam Tour. This year's World Ski and Snowboard Fest brings out 2500 participating athletes, 50 live bands in 28 events. The crowds are only growing; the kids are spinning and tweaking; and, everyone knows that everything will finally explode here on Saturday night.

Trevor in '99?
This year, the people (not me, man) have spoken and turned the Jam to "Blacky" (Blackcomb, that is, Texas tea). So the demo tour, the slopestyle and the whole enchalada will throw down all around the infamous Nintendo Terrain Park. Starting Thursday every darn Canuck looking to step up and take their place among the big names, that turn out yearly for the annual spring Halfpipe Jam, begin the cutting process that will leave only the best in the pipe for Saturday.

Saturday afternoon's halfpipe flows into the Big Air on Saturday night. This chaos drops right into the Conference Center for the all night RAVE. For those of you going to the Rave, as always... please remember don't eat the brown herbal ectasy! I'm sporting a fresh new hot pink leisure suit 'cause you know neon is coming back for the year 2000 (yeah, baby). You're just scared to admit it. My cookies may remain unaccounted for, but my camera will be there. But I digress...

The anxiety is maddening. The power, the pride, the mountains all inspire everyone to push their limits under the Maple Leaf. So stay tuned to the only inside dealers of Seattle Swamp Water™ bringing it to you straight from the slopes of Blacky. We smuggled it in and are serving it up fresh for Saturday's struggle. Let the Jammin' begin.
