Hey everyone, this is Jono, your friendly neighborhood hairy scary talking to you from the Beast of the East.

We're waiting for the boats to come around with Robert Nagle and Cathy Sassin. We've been told that they're coming around in the last five minutes, but we've been waiting for the last hour for it to happen.

After they come in from the transition, they're going to do the rope. I think it's about a 300ft ascent through a nasty, nasty patch that was put up there of poison ivy, and then run and then slide down through some more poison ivy on the rappel.

So anyway, it's a beautiful, beautiful race, great people. You need to check out the website, keep up for updates. Take care and have a rockin' great day.

Fantastic Start

Ralph Stengle here speaking to you from Virginia. This is Sunday the 23rd, it's 1:05am in the morning. We're here at the Beast, teams are off, fantastic start, across the grass in the water canoes, trying to fit around things, going through holes. [It's] excellent — great place to be, probably one of the best races I've been at in a long time, and I think I saw some pretty good action there in front. Signing out, bye.
