Hi, this is Cathy Tibbets calling from Namche Bazaar, at 4331 meters, where I have just arrived on day nine of the trek. After seven days in the mountains, even our group of world class trail runners had started to fatigue. We decided to hike only a half day and spend the afternoon relaxing, except by mid afternoon most were out on the trail running. 'It's about time we had some fun,' someone remarked.

There was no late night drunken card game that night though, instead there was a late night drunken sing-along. Sherpas piled into the lodge out of nowhere singing, dancing and twirling in a make shift rhythm section. If this group of runners can race as hard as they party, they may set some new course records for this years marathon. Talk to you later.
