Hello, Mountain Zone. This is Andrew McLean calling on behalf of the Shishapangma Ski Expedition.

We are right at the border between Nepal and Tibet staring at the Friendship Bridge, which we're going to cross over tomorrow. Finally escaped out of Kathmandu after four days there and we're up in a much cooler place, which is great. It's starting to rain a little bit, kind of clouds moving in, it's very heavily vegetated up here. It's a lot like the Northwest. We're staying at a very small village in a place called the Lhasa Guest House where we're about to be served dal bhat (combination of rice or flaky bread, lentils mixed vegetable curry, spinach and chutney) and Tuborg beer, which is going to be great.

And tomorrow we're going to cross over, shuttle, all of our stuff into Tibet and drive up to Nyalam. And from there we'll get some yaks and go in and hopefully get a chance to see what it's all about. So, everybody's in good spirits; everybody's healthy. Sending some more photograph-emails right now, so here we go.

Talk to you later, bye.

Andrew McLean, MountainZone.com Correspondent
