(Everest North Ridge, 25000 feet)

Lawrie Godin, George's fiancee, writes:
Had a call from George last night and again at 7 am this morning. Right now he and his Sherpa are at 25000 feet and in their tent. Very cold! It was clear and sunny when they started in the morning, but mid-way another storm came and they continued on up in the snow. They are resting now. There is still too much snow to continue further. Along with the winds, it is a waiting game.

George felt as if his tent had been intruded upon, (much like papa Bear with Goldilocks) as the Spanish team used his supplies and his sleeping bag without his knowing. There is a protocol on the mountain; some climbers follow it and some don't.
