ERIN BASSETT
Skilled Mountaineer. Mother of two children. Erin is a well-rounded athlete. For fifteen years she has been engaged in competitive gymnastics, cross-country track and multi-sport endurance events, including mountaineering. She was one of a select group invited to compete for a spot on the 1995 U.S. Team in the Camel Trophy Adventure. Her skills as a climber and mountaineer will be a definite asset to the team. Erin is also as excellent long distance runner and swimmer.



KLAUS BEHNERT
Cold weather survivalist/winter sports expert. Born and raised in Germany, Klaus entered his first race, an 800 meter open water swim, at the age of 6. H e has thrived in competitive racing ever since. Klaus is a cold weather survival specialist and has mastered such events as extreme skiing, wilderness skiing, snowboarding, skating and cycling. He keeps fit daily by working as an instructor in aerobics and weight training.



DAN MOY
Team Captain/Endurance athlete. Married with two children. Dan led the team in the 1995 Eco-Challange held in Utah. This year he has put together a team designed to overcome British Columbia's uniquely rugged terrain. He is a triathlete, a mountain cyclist and a practitioner of the martial arts. He also has experience in climbing, rafting and mountaineering. A fierce competitor and leader, Dan will help the team overcome every obstacle.



DAVOR NOVOSELAC
Navigation specialist. Davor trained with the special forces on the former Yugoslav Army. Born in Croatia, he has vast experience in cold weather survival and excellent navigation skills, he is an extremely strong runner, climber and kayaker. He wrestled competitively for Croatia. Davor is a certified flight instructor and flew communications for the 1995 Eco-Challenge event in Utah.



BLAINE REEVES
US Army Company Commander - Light Infantry. Blaine is an outstanding athlete. He competes regularly in duathalons. In 1994 he won the prestigious "Best Ranger" competition, a three day multi-event endurance competition. Recognized for his navigation expertise and mountaineering skills, he is an excellent distance runner and weight trainer.



Support Team

STUART ROBINSON
Physician/strategist. As team physician and assistant in the 1995 Eco-Challenge, Stuart knows the difficulties that will confront the competitors. For several years he was actively involved in nutrition related research at the university level. Now is private practice, he trains with the team and develops the dietary plans to maximize performance and endurance.



BRIAN BOTTERON
Forestry specialist. Brian's lasting interest in the outdoors naturally led to his becoming a ranger in the U.S. Forest Service. Five years were spent with the search and rescue team, and he has come to know the mountains and forests well. He also knows how to outfit and counsel a team that must survive in the wilderness using their wit, strength and skill.
