Volant
Buzz's Skis:
There are two Volant models that are hot, the Power Carve and the Super
Carve, which are both sidecut skis. The Power Carve is more of an
all-around soft
snow type ski. The Super Carve comes in several models, soft, more rigid
and ice (very hard). The Super Carve is more narrow in the waist —
a little
more of a cruising type ski.
The stainless steel on the Volant lends itself very well to being
sidecut; it is tortionally rigid. The Power Carve was our best seller
last
year.
Christy Sports:
The new Super Carves are great. The "I" is what magazines are calling a
breakthrough carve ski, but I think the Volant "I" is better than that.
The
"I" is for the more aggressive skier. The "S" is for the good
intermediate or better — a good skier, but one that isn't that
aggressive. The "L" is for
a lighter skier.
