Hi, this is Jack Crawford, bringing you the latest from the Beast of the East. I'm at the headquarters. Currently we're 38 hours into the race, where the competitors have canoed over whitewater over 60 miles, they have ascended 220 feet, they have rappelled 250 feet, they have mountain biked over 45 miles, and three teams have completed the 50 mile hike and already begun their 86 mile mountain bike.

Stay tuned. There are four teams that are still lagging behind, trying to get into the checkpoints, and we'll bring that to you as soon as we can.
