Tent Blown off North Col

(Everest North Face advance base camp, Tibet)

Well, the COLOMBIAN team and the two member CATALONIAN/Spanish TEAM are packing UP and leaving. Half the members already went to BC, seven hours downhill; the second half is finishing packing and waiting for the YAKS to come to carry their stuff to BC. American skier Craig CALONICA also went down and maybe will come back in four days. The weather is to be improving in two to three days. The SPANISH, BRITISH and CANADIAN TEAMS came up from BC.

I Forgot to tell you that yesterday it was so windy on NORTH COL, over 100m/h, that some expedition lost their tent. We were all watching it flying as high as 8000m. Of course there were many jokes around whose tent it was. My last report from the COLOMBIAN climbers, who where at NORTH COL to collect their valuable supplies, was that it was not a CANADIAN tent. We still do not know who lost it, but it was a great scene to watch it fly like a helicopter until it crashed at 8000m.
